Backlinking campaigns
Backlinking is viewed as a bit of a dark art in digital marketing and that’s because it’s either misunderstood by the client or poorly executed by the developer.
Like almost everything in digital marketing, backlinking can be done the quick way or it can be done the right way. I’m personally in favour of the latter!
Is backlinking any good?
Backlinking is the process of having as many external websites and digital touchpoints as possible linking directly to your own website. The goal is to boost your website’s own organic ranking without being penalised for being spammy. Although boosting your organic ranking sounds appealing, backlinking is not a suitable strategy for every business type – but for many it’s vitally important.
and how do I know if it’s right for my business?
I see my role as offering clients the best advice on what will and won’t work for their business in a marketing sense. I’m therefore very selective about what I offer as a service and that goes for backlinking too. I see backlinking as an incredibly powerful strategy for a select group of clients and I’d be happy to talk to you about how it could work for your business.
